hi all i was just feeding my corn snakes when they were done i was about to pick the normal male up to put in the cage but as soon as touched him his tail started vibrating extremaly fast like a rattle snake:toiletgra. has this happend to anyone els or have you heard of this,

Yep...completely normal! It's just there way of saying they don't want to messed with. Some will grow out of it and some won't.

Yes, this is a pretty standard defensive mechanism. It means "Go away and leave me alone - I'm really big and dangerous!".

Basically, he was just a bit startled by you touching him and tried to threaten you (it's very cute when they're little!). Maybe you didn't give him enough warning that he was about to be picked up, or he felt like he han't finished swallowing yet.

Mine do it all the time. All of them. It's cute! And don't think of it as the step before a bite- most often it's just a "comment."

Yup, that is standard operating procedure with these guys!
I even have an adult (Hydi) that still does it when I feed her, giving me the evil eye the whole time!

Good old Hydi. Yeah, she's a bit high-strung. One of the few adult corns to musk me semi-regularly. She even half-heartedly struck from time to time.

Off-topic: corns are very rapid rattlers. Kings rattle so slowly that you can almost count the rattles. Of all the snakes I've owned, FL/Brooksi kings seem to have the slowest rattle-frequency.

I think it's sort of funny and cute its like a chihuahua acting like a pit bull trained to kill =) little rattle corns we have
