Corn snakes natural habitat

Corn Addict In Training
I turn 18 in a few weeks (yay) and i plan on getting a job and build a big custom enclosure for my snow corn (Achilles) and a ball python that i plan on getting . Now I wanna make his cage amazing but I can't find any pic or videos of a natural habitat for corn snakes. I plan on putting us water bowl in the middle that will be decorated with fake rock and have a waterfall flow into it(aquarium filter hidden in fake rock background) but otherwise I can't think of anything so I'm looking to the many users of this site to supply pics or even ideas on how to make this cage amazing. All ideas are very much appreciated thank you:)

They are native to the south east, so look at pictures of states like Florida, and the carolinas and georgia, etc.

You might need to shield the waterfall in some way. I remember someone tried this with their Corn, who promptly pooped into the pool part of the setup and gummed the pump up properly!

For some really good ideas on naturalistic setups, try "The Art of Keeping Snakes" by Philippe de Vosjoli. It's more a manual on creating a self-maintaining naturalistic environment, but some of the tanks are spectacular and could give you some fantastic pointers:

P.S. I take it you're not planning to keep the Ball and the Corn together? They have different needs.

I would never keep them together I saw a guy on craigslist who did that i plan on making a cabinet type thing with one enclosure in the bottom and the other one above it both of them will have glass bottoms slightly raises with something like the little pads you find under statues so i can install flex watt. And I was thinking about the whole what happens if the snake poops in it I figure that would be my biggest problem I mean so far my snake never poops or even soaks in his water bowl. And I'll check that book out

Just be aware that not all ball pythons will do well in a large, decorative viv. Mine stopped eating, had bad sheds, and his scales even started to chip and flake off when he was in the big viv. Now he's in a dark little 41 quart tub, is shedding well, eating, and his scales are back to normal. Not all of them will do poorly in a large space, I have a friend who keeps his ball in a 5x2 cage and does just great.

My dads was in a 55 gallon which is 4 feet long 12 inches wide my enclosures so far my planned measurements are gonna be 4 feet long 18 inches wide and 2 feet high and of course I'll supply alot of hideys
