Corn taking things into their out hands...er...coils?

DinoNeill

Must learn Parseltongue!
For my corn's hidebox I use an empty kraft dinner box (she's only a yearling) that has a little door on the longest edge and on one end, an entire side (usually the top or bottom of the box) is removed so I can put it against the glass and see what she is up to.

Well yesterday I noticed she had moved the box on an angle and didn't think too much of it, but this morning I observed that she had turned the box around completely so that the open end was pointing at the wall! ...so now I can't see her at all unless I move the box...but after putting all of that effort into moving said box I think she's earned some privacy.

I'm curious if she had actually done it on purpose or it was just a fluke during her nightly "try to escape the viv" attempts. Oh well, at least she's not hiding under the waterdish anymore. ;)

My money's on fluke. I don't think a corn has enough awareness of spatial relationships between objects to figure this one out. Fun story though. ;)

Maybe she's an anomaly of the Serpentes with above average intelligence?!
...Oh wait, she once got her tongue stuck to the waterdish...yeah...probably a fluke. XD

You could put the box back the way it was and see if she moves it again. How in the world did she get her tongue stuck to the water dish?

lol, when I first got her she went to investigate the dish via sniffing it with her tongue and got a little to close.

What kind of water dish do you have that they could get a tongue stuck in it? Sounds like you really don't need one like that!

No way dude I dont think its a fluke Cuervo does the same from time to time, re-arranging his viv so no one can see what he's up to, I placed his hide facing the window once and a couple of days later it was back on its usual spot...
