Cornelia, my Classic Corn Blessing

I was really into snakes growing up and have wanted to get back into it again since being married but my spouse wasn't quite so enthusiastic. Last month while doing yard work I stumbled upon a corn hatchling and amazingly got my wife to allow me to keep it. It has since graduated its own custom built viv which also functions a decor item in our living room! :dancer:

Cornelia (I think it's a girl... see other thread http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1615925#post1615925) has being doing great in captivity -- no mites, temperament issues, lumps, or any other kind of visible/perceived health issues. I've been feeding her F/T anoles, since it was what she was familiar with and frozen to help cut down on any bacteria present. She's eaten 5 times (progressing in size) and just shed today! Going off of the shed she's a little over 13" long.

The pictures are (in order) her viv, first meal, tonight's meal (after her shed).. you can really notice the color change from the first one to the ones tonight.

Enjoy!

Lol! I've never seen a cornsnake eating an anole! I know it's their natural prey, yet this is the first time I've seen photos of it! Nice pics and beautiful baby!

Thanks! Yeah she's a beaut. I have this unproven theory that an anole may have more nutrition since I'm feeding medium adults that have developed organs, bones, etc, as opposed to a undeveloped pinkie. Of course there's the added risk of not knowing what's its eaten, or if it has any parasites, which is why I've been freezing them first.

Thoughts?
