tell me what you think the Amel is please i know you can kinda tell by looking at the tail... those pictures are a little dated so when he's done shedding i'll take more if thats needed... thanks for looking!

X-D Forgive me, I thought the snake is darker, but I just realized that flash made her look dark, and I have snow. Sorry.

Excellent Ro's I especially like the gal.
Its too hard to attempt to sex the amel just by the pictures. If you must know then you should take him to someone who can pop or probe him.
Thats what I need to do with mine.... :sidestep:

I meant reverse okeetees... lol MY BAD! :D thanks!

lol its ok... i'm starting to wonder about reptile shows... i always get screwed over when buying snakes from there... :/

thanks... i learned how to probe on my boas but corns are so fragile... i dont have a vet within 50 miles of me... :( so i pretty but have to clam my nerves down so i can probe the Amel... :D

I love Tacoma! She's adorable and she has the little hourglass saddle shape that my Kiowa does. =D

Thanks! i love the hour glass... :D

Sorry, Amels and RO look ALOT alike, forgive me

Reverse Okeetees ARE Amels. ROs are line bred Amels aimed for a look of thick white boarders and bright colors that imitates an Okeetee's look. It is NOT correct to call them Okeetees though. An Okeetee is a snake with either locality blood or a NORMAL cornsnake which has been line bred for thick black boarders and bright colors.

IMO (and my opinion for Reverse Okeetees is pretty strict) you do have a very nice pair of ROs (which could also be called amels).

thats very interesting... thanks for that explanation... i guess i can go to you when i have questions on morphs and genetics?

Melissa

Uhmm... I know enough to get by, but I'm not really a genetics expert. No offense, but that's just a really easy/obvious one.

My best advice is to read the forum a lot.. All my genetic knowledge comes LOTS of time spent reading through countless threads written on this site by experienced keepers.

well thanks... thats how i did it for boas too! lol and asking questions of course... i'm just new to corns and their genetics... :D

Corns are way easier than boas and BPs. FAR fewer co-dominant and dominant mutations. Almost everything is simple recessive. The calculations are exactly the same, if you know what is recessive and what is co-dom. The Cornsnake Morph Guide will take you there with ease...

Anyhow...very nice collection of RO's, snow, and amel! Lovely pickups!

well thanks everyone! :D i'm gonna have to look at this morph guide, i'm assuming that its on this site... correct me if i'm wrong... i'm thinking my Amel is a girl i'm waiting till it sheds and then settles down before i probe but i have a stong feeling its a girl... so i think i'm going to buy the caramel motley male i wanted from the last show but didnt have the money for at the time...
