correct me if im wrong but corns aren't nocturnal right?

my corn ate its first night home so i waited the usual 2 days b4 messing with it. and the entire 2 days it just hung out in its hide (day and night mind you) then today i finally got to take it out to see how tame and docile it is ( needs some work but not very much):poke: anyways held it total of about 2 hrs watching a movie. when i put it back it finally stayed out of its hide..but it was still lazy it just sat on top of the branch the rest of the day not moving at all( as if asleep) my day time lights in the viv are set to come on at 8 am and off at 7 pm) and i went to check my email bout 9 o'clock and there it is MOVING around in its tank after the lights are out) i never seen anywhere that they are nocturnal. am i wrong are they or are they not?

Absolutely. Dusk/early evening is when mine get most active.

You can expect them to be especially inactive after eating, as their bodies concentrate energy into digesting.

"Lazy" is kind of a human word which doesn't apply to reptiles. What it was doing, was conserving energy by not moving - it didn't think it was necessary. Energy is a cold-blooded animal's most precious resource and they never waste it on unnecessary activity.

haha i guess i never payed attention to that when reading bout them. prolly shoulda though.

I haven't read this anywhere, but based on my limited experience, they can be sort of shifted to semi-diurnal (active in the daytime). One of mine who has spent a lot of time in my classroom is usually up and about from dawn until about 10:00 a.m. You can set your watch by another coming out and sitting on her rock at 4:30 unless she's just eaten. As previously said, they're not going to use energy unnecessarily after eating.
