Corns...perfect pet?

Kilala

lemme go! I'm sleeping!
I believe that corns are the perfect pet. They don't smell, they are easy to feed (a mouse every 10 days..how can you beat that?) and they are hardy.

They don't need training, they don't make noise...wow. Move over, dogs and cats..we've found the holy grail of the pet world! :dancer:

Although fiesty as youngsters, I agree that Corns as well as many other Snakes make some of the best pets!

In my opinion, there can't be a 'World's greatest pet', since there are so many things that have to be taken into account. You certainly listed some of the great attributes of Corns (and many snakes!) They're great to handle and docile too, they are certainly the snake you want to use if you want to 'convert' someone, either Corns or a Royal python.

Do you only feed your hatchling once every 10 days? (I'm guessing it's a hatchling by looking at your display picture) If so, that's not enough I'm afraid. You should be feeding it once every 5 days or so, search 'The Munson Plan (sample feeding chart) on the search engine, you'll find a great weight to prey size ratio. :)

All the best

David

Greatest Pet...When I go into any pet store, the first thing I ask is " Do you have any corn snakes and if so where are they located" lol.

She's not a baby anymore, she's definitely an adult. The display pic is her baby pic, it's VERY outdated. but thanks for your concern. :)
