Doodles and Wiffty's Mom.
Hi! My name is Kerry, and i do not personally own a cornsnake yet (hopefully JAG32 will send mine soon). My roommate Moira owns a petco cornsnake, amel if it's anything. Her's is named Fluffy, after her D&D character's pet chaos dragon. Yeah i'm a geek and run a dungeons and dragons campaign. Anyways, i didn't want to be a lurker, so here i am. i really appreciate all the information i have come across while researching in this forum (both pre and post membership). i have 1.0 cats (pippin) 1.1 zebra finches (butch and squishy), and the mentioned male anery to be named later.

my big question is, how do you keep your home from being over run by snakes? once i have one, i know i'm not going to want to stop at one. snakes are so cute, corns especially. personally i prefer the corns in shades of grey/white/black, not that i would ever turn a snake away. so far the only thing i am sure of is that i won't breed snakes. i will leave that up to you experts.

anywhooo thanks for the info, and i look forward to lurking, erm replying to posts and posting pics of my own, for many years to come.

CORNSNAKES RULE!

Hello and Welcome to the Forums!!! Janine's right, we have already lost that battle. I would say to just move slowly, and make sure that corns are right for you. Then after you have your one corn for a while then I would look into getting another. Then your thoughts on breeding comes up and so on.......

We stayed a 1 snake family for about 3 yrs. Then came to this site and boy these people are HORRIBLE. There is no way you will stay with one snake for long now that you've joined this site. In the past 6 months we have added 3 additional snakes.

I say 4 is enough, but who knows come hatching time.

I started off with 3. I now have 16 permanent residents, plus 50+ hatchlings each year.

You're not a proper Corn Snake keeper until you've started throwing out useful furniture to make room for more vivs.

That's what I keep telling myself, anyway..... :)
