My third snake, a ball python, died in the past 36 hours. He was being treated for a respiratory infection that destroyed his lungs and was being treated with amikacin. He passed a large kidney stone a few days ago. I don't know if that contributed to his death. He was just starting to get better too and as far as I know my husbandry was on point. I'll miss him.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. I would not be surprised if the Kidney stone knocked down his resistance. I had no idea snakes were prone to kidney stones. I know you will miss him. My thoughts are with you.

I'm so sorry. I've never heard of a snake kidney stone. That sucks- but you did everything you could to try to save him.

Sorry for your loss :(

Calcium (harden urite) stones are common but also never heard of kidney stones in snakes. They rarely but do occur in lizards like Iggy's and Bearded Dragons though..
