Coupon Code

The code for the 2003 sale is "2003". For the 2004 hatchlings, it is "2004". I thought that would be easy to remember.

2004 coupon still active until July 2004?

or are there no remaining coupons? I tried to make an order and did not see a box for a coupon code.

I also wanted to ask if there is always a surcharge for females if you want a pair of snakes but slightly different types (ie: a hypo het bloodred and a bloodred het hypo)????

never mind about the coupon question,

I see that the coupon box comes up when the min order is satisfied, but the other question still stands :D

Yes, the surcharge still applies in a case as you mentioned. This was put into effect to help me recoup the losses when I wind up at the end of the season with a bunch of lone males that I need to sell cheaply in order to move them out. So even with the mix that you mentioned, the only way I could balance that out was if someone order the opposite sexes of the exact same combination. Although that is certainly possible, I wouldn't want to bet on it happening.

BTW, I am intending to reduce the discount to 40 percent when I can get a chance to change the coupon code for the 2004 animals. I actually meant to do that last night.....

Rich,

Just something I noticed you seem to have kept a fairly even ratio on males and females this year. Do you think the surcharge had anything to do with it?

Actually, I'm not sure how you would know that. The numbers shown on the inventory through most of the year are just pie in the sky numbers. There just is no time to do a real inventory during the busy season (August thru November), and actually I didn't even do a real inventory of the 2003 animals until March.

When I had some wholesale orders that didn't care what the sexes were, I sent as many males as I could to even it out, but of course, the prices were much lower than my list prices.

I do recall that I had orders for a LOT of lone and extra females during the early part of the season, so honestly, the surcharge really did not slow down the ordering of females at all. If I were smart, I would raise the surcharge to more like 50 percent to try to even it out even more. Or, better yet, double the price of the females and just thrown in a free male with each one.... :)
