Cover from light

My tanks are in my bedroom and the lights go on and off frequently. It doesn't seem to bother my chameleons or corn snakes. Just curious if anyone covers their tanks from light like you would a bird?

Corns are most active at night/dawn/dusk, presumably whern there are no lights on anyway. So lights going on and off during the day when they're not normally active, won't make any difference to them. It's just another light to hide away from.
