I'm getting her really really soon. Just have to pick her up. Can't wait. The guy I'm getting her from said he rescued her from some kid who lost interest in her and she was very underfed. She's in good health now:) . My questions is, how can someone lost interest in this??? This is nature's beauty at it's finest (atleast I think so).:D

Congratulations...

And good luck with her. I would be certain to quarantine her in another room (away from Link?) for at least 3 months. Make certain to disinfect yourself well after handling her so you don't risk transferring disease to your little one.

I saw that animal. Kinda made me curious why he would be SELLING a rescue.

Don't forget that it IS a hybrid...If you do breed her with your amel (are you certain it is male?) they will be hybrids too, and not everyone wants mixed blood. Make sure when you sell the hatchlings you let the buyer new the parentage...

Thanks, yes I know to keep them quarantined from eachother and to clean myself before handling Link. The guy who I'm getting her from said he is experience at popping and would do it for me on Link. Hopefully he's a male, lol.

this is my creamsicle and look at the difference in the colour.

creamsicle

You can't tell by looking.
A creamsicle is the result of an amel corn/emoryi rat mix.
Basically an amel intergrade.
I doubt very seriously that someone would try to sell an amelanistic corn as a creamsicle.
A lot of corn keepers prefer to stay away from creamsicles due to the emoryi blood, so there wouldn't be any advantage to representing a pure corn as a creamsicle.
speaking of creams....here is my female.
She is also pictured to the left as my icon.

I love that shot! The way she's sort of emerging from the shadows into the light.
Plus I love when they do the whole "cobra" pose :)
