Crimson Corn Question

I was thinking about getting a Crimson Corn (some day) to add to my line, but I wasn't sure of one thing: does the Miami blood in the Crimsons cause the hatchlings to only want anoles for their first feeding? Or has the hypo blood dominated the feeding response? I'm afraid to work with very picky hatchlings...and I'd prefer to know what I'm getting into before I start adding too much miami blood to my line.

Also, does anybody know if there's a hypo milksnake line yet?

I have a 1.1 pair of crimsons, and they both ate pinkies from the time they were hatchlings (though I did have to brain a few for the female at first). This spring, I'm hoping to have my first clutch of crimsons from this pair, but until then, I have nothing but news for your concerns!

Where did you get the Crimsons from Darin? I saw a picture of your female on the behavior board, very nice snake! But she looks rather orange to me...so I was wondering what line she's from.

Now a days most Miamis are no longer considered picky eaters that often. I hatched three clutches of Crimsons/Hypo Miamis last season and only had 1 out of 36 hatclings required being started on an anole. The prettiest one of that batch go figure. She is doing well and I will post pics soon. I had her switched over to pinkies in a month or so. Even with some Upper Keys mixed into one of the lines (which Upper Keys have the worst reputation for being lizard lovers) I did not have any problems and the one that was stubborn wasn't even from that line. I think the out crossing definately has worked out the problem.
