Custom vivaruim lighting for under $30

Hmmm well if you don't want to bother them at night and see them I would go with red as they can't see that color. It's probably look cool I have some cold cathode halos in my motorcycle headlight and they look really good.
 
Neat. I use a "moonlight simulator" in my corn's cage. I found a small strip of blue LEDs in the automotive section in Walmart. Hooked it up to a DC power supply I had laying around and voila. Gives the cage a very nice subdued blue glow. If the corn can see it, it doesn't seem to mind.
