Very nice! How does everyone get such great pippie pictures? I remember when my clutch last year hatched, they wouldn't peek out once I opened the lid of the container!

That is one beutiously colored pip of a baby!!! One day, I hope to have a color like that in my incubation box. Congratulations. Are you keeping them all if they look like that? I would have to!!

Once you lift the lid, you have to sit motionless, camera poised, for as long as it takes for the noses to peek out again. This has been known to take over half and hour. OK, you can move slightly, but not much. Having a drink handy is good, and last year, I was really sorry I quit smoking.

Beautiful opal hatchling! I have a bad feeling I'll have to admire everyone else's opals this year, but I don't hate you for it...much...unless it's het motley, then I not only hate you, I abhor you!

Susan, you're really funny. Thanks for making me laugh and the good advice on getting pippie pics. Sounds about like what I did last night while candling them all (9-10 are moving). Practice must be what that was. I was glad I still smoke (but good for you for not).
I'm just going to have to have an opal soon.
And none of you are helping the situation any; thank you very much. Ha ha.

updates and thanks.

1st I wantd to thank every1 for lQQking and all the nice comments!:dancer: I'll try to answer all the questions and then add a few updated pics.

LOL nope not a sickly pale normal just a lil opal. just like Christina said. sorry I didnt have time to photoshop his head and make it pure white like you did with ur lil blood. LOL

Susan hit it right on the head. The only other thing I would add is that I set my camera on Digital Macro and on continous shooting. as soon and the lil' guy pips out I just press and hold down the button. after what seems like 100's of pics, you find the perfect ones.

Are you keeping them all if they look like that? I would have to!!

I wish I could keep them all. it will be hard to get rid of any. I just LOVE white snakes and my goal is to produce the brightest opally peachest opals ever. LOL

Oh, wow...they're gorgeous! :) In the third picture, does one of the opals show as being stripe, or am I just seeing more than there really is out of wishful thinking? :)

Just lovely!
