Declorinating water???

Just wondering if you guys declor your water or use something else? I have a declorinator that I use (called Repti-Safe) for my hermit crabs, but would I use the same stuff when I get my snake? Thanks for any replies! :)

I would de-chlorinate if it were me. I give only purified water to all my animals as well as myself. Our water is out of wells here, and has so many things in it, that I wouldn't drink it ever. You really only need to let the water sit for a couple of days for the chlorine to evaporate out of it. It's not a very stable chemical.

To answer the question that you asked about the repti safe...you would use this for your snakes too. I used to live in an appartment and I had clorinated water and used the repti-safe. Now, I am like MegF and live off a water well. Because of this, I invest in spring water for my snakes and mice.

I have used repti-safe in the past and still do use it for a number of our animals. I use Brita filtered water for the snakes. It is definitely a good idea to get rid of the chlorine taste and odor
