Decreased activity after a meal??

I just got my first baby corn last Thursday night. At first we had him in like a 3 gallon pet cage and Friday he was very active all day. Then Friday night we transferred him to a 10 gallon tank. He was somewhat active friday night and saturday morning (although he seemed more cautious/slower as he explored). Then around noon on saturday we fed him to keep him on his same feeding schedule. He took the food great but basically hasn't moved much since.
I'm wondering if this is normal for a snake to be less active after they eat? Another thing I thought was strange is that he's hanging out curled up in some vines on the cool side of the cage. I guess I just kinda thought that he'd wanna be on the warmer side so that things might digest better...? He spent most of saturday and all day yesterday in the vines. when I woke up this morning the was hiding under his hut on the warm side but about a half hour later he was back up in the vines.
Is this normal? Will he get more active as his food digests? Or is it maybe just the fact that he's in a big new cage (although he was active at first...)?

It's probably a combination of a newer cage and digesting his meal. I have some corns that hardly ever go over to the warm side and usually prefer the cool side. I have others that like it really warm. Your snake knows what he needs and will be fine. He should become more active as he digests but keep in mind that hatchlings and young snakes like to hide a lot. Sometimes the best time to see them is at 3 or 4 AM when you're usually asleep.

Everytime mine eat, it seems like they go for a good drink of water, and then hide out for 2 days or so. A couple more days, and theyre back looking for more food...

Yep, this is perfectly normal, everything you have described is. Just think about it, what do YOU want to do after stuffing yourself at the dinner table? Your snake feels the same way. In a couple of days, he'll be back to being active.
