• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

deleting posts

I answered one of my questions, and tried to delete the post and not waste anyone's time, but when I went to 'edit' and selected delete, I got a message saying that I wasn't authorized to access that page, which seems odd. If there's something I need to know about deleting my own posts, that would be great.

Ok, I just added a reply, then deleted it. I had no trouble. This means there doesn't seem to be a problem with the site itself. I do know that you can only delete posts that you made, not someone else's post. In the past, there hasn't been a problem deleting a post if you created the thread and it has replies. If that rule has changed, it is fairly new. The only other thing may be related to your "new member" status, but I still don't see why you shouldn't be able to delete a post. Try it again, and make sure you are trying to delete from your original post, not a reply.

Ok, I just went back to an old post in Photo Gallery that had a reply and tried to delete it...wouldn't work. I got the same response you did. Guess you can't delete a post that someone else has replied to unless they also delete their post.

And your question wasn't silly. In the future, we may discover a morph that is sex linked! I can see Rich's face now as he tries to figure out why only some of the hatchlings have the new morph and not others (and they're all females...darn that Murphy!) and that he always seems to be getting the better odds considering he has only been able to produce male hets, not a single homozygous male after 5 frustrating years!!! REALLY darn that Murphy!!

And Rich, if you start hitting your head on the wall after reading this, you've just figured out that secret project that has given you such a hard time for the past decade!
