Two Corns and Growing!
So this is my first progression thread and my first snake woohoo! So far all I know about Diabla is she is an amel or albino as petsmart calls them, shes is about 4 months old now, shes had her first shed with me(not a perfect one:( I had to get a warm wash cloth and help her). Also I have no idea what weight she is(plan to get a scale this week, couldn't find one at wal-mart:mad:) And she has never missed a meal except when she goes into blue she then goes into her pissy mood lol. O ya I keep her in a 30 gallon tank ( figured more room the better lol) with plenty of cover and water and a blue light for night time. I will have some older and more recent pics of her up soon hopefully within the next few minutes to an hour. Hope you all like my snake any suggestions and/or comments are appreciated :)

No one posting

Ummmm guys don't be shy to post stuff. Usually when I see a progression thread people jump all over it. I don't know if there is something wrong with mine but don't be shy any comment is greatly appreciated. What I have also noticed is that when there is a feeding post in a pro thread thats when people comment the most I got one post after posting 13 pics of my last feeding, which was yesterday. This is my first snake and progression thread so I'm feeling kinda stupid posting all these pics and no response. But like I said don't be shy, I'm not gana bite :)
 
I love how the pinkie is holding on like "nooo don't swallow me!" She is a very nice bright amel, should be fun to watch as she gets older.

Don't be too offended if you don't find many people posting. I find when I post pics in my progression thread that maybe one or two people post a quick comment. There are just so many threads and I'm sure a lot of the people looking may have already posted a comment earlier on. I try not to take offense :D
 
lol I thought that pic was the funniest, usually she goes for the head but I guess she wanted to go for the butt this time lol.......... Thanks for the little pick me up but I guess I was looking at this one pro thread on ninja and there was close to 100 posts on there. Come to think of it I've seen your pro thread too and I must say that colonel slithers is an awesome name, and a beautiful oakatee. I don't think I've posted on that thread yet I guess I'll go do that right now. Thanks :)
 
You've got a very pretty amel :) Keep the pics coming! Also... My progression thread for Ninja has been going for over 5 months now and most of those posts in that thread are from me... It's no biggie if no one comments, it'll all come in good time. :)
 
Thanks Em I've been following ninja for a while now, Havent really posted anything but been watching. He's a really pretty anery. O ya ill have some pics posted today (some post feeding pics) and I'm considering getting another corn but im not sure what kind im leanin towards an abbots oakatee, I love the coloration. Its about that time......

Time for another update...... So far she has digested her last meal (The one I showed you) and is now just getting out of being "blue" yay!:dancer:. I have also ordered a new My Weigh Scale, the 3001P with the adapter, that should get here on thursday, I'm so excited I can't wait to see how much my baby weighs:). Well thats pretty much it nothing really exciting this post but ill be back soon to post some post shed pics, hopefully some feasting pics, and a pic of her in the new scale. Peace TTYL.
 
Shedding

Allrite so I just found Diabla's shed in the tank today(not full still some pieces on the head, neck, and tail) Yay, usually I would feed her today but since there are still pieces on there I'm going to wait until tomorrow. I put her in a little rubbermaid container with some moist paper towels and humidified her tank, I tried using the warm washcloth trick but when I went to pull a little piece off I pulled too fast and she bled a little in about three bottom scales. This is the first time thats happened to me, will that heal up in a few days or do I need to put some antibiotic on it. But other than that I just got my new scale in today and she weighs a whopping 12 grams! So ill take some pics of her tomorrow in her scale and eating along with some pics of her tank. Thanks TTYL
 
Whats been happening

Well for all of you that have been following my little Diabla and havent read the post about her in the husbandry/basic care section. She has escaped, this happened a little over a week ago, this was a result of me forgetting to lock the cage. I think she escaped out of my bedroom window and is lost forever. I was very stressed and depressed at this fact, but I've come to terms, who knows this might have happened for a reason, maybe to wake me up to the importance of properly securing the cage to prevent something like this from happening. There is still slight hope that she is still wondering around the house but I'm not going to hang over that theory intensely. I have decided to purchase a new normal het motley from Susan to replace her. But there will always be a spare cage open and warm for her if she returns. Thank you all for following her thread.
