Corn snakes rule!
My oldest female finally layed her eggs this morning when I was still sleeping. Feels like I was waiting forever for her to do this. And looks like most of them are good.... Yepeeeee!

Thank you Vicky! Most seem to be good eggs, a few iffy ones and she seems to still have more inside even though she hasn't layed any for a couple of hours now. I'm hoping she is still okay!

I've tried counting all Diamond's eggs today and I've counted 22 good looking eggs, 4 slugs and I think she has one- two, more still to lay.

Lennycorn, I don't have a clue what I am going to get with these eggs! The daddy is a Silver Queen ghost and is het amel. I don't know what mommy is. I'm pretty concerned with her right now. She lost quite a bit of weight so much that when you pick her up her underside-belly caves inward. She looks so thin compared to what she had been even before becoming gravid. I really hope she will recover. I tried giving her a couple of mice but she refused.

Congratulations on the clutch. Mommy and Daddy are gorgeous. Hope momma is OK and fills back up for you.

The first 50 or so clutches seem to take forever.
Beautiful anery. Really. Enviously beautiful.
Most females go thru a rest period after laying ( I leave mine in the moss box, cool, humid, quiet) until they go thru the post-lay shed, then they start feeding ravenously again. I usually toss a couple (fatty) rats at them so they can regain some reserves quickly. hth, looking forward to baby pics. Cheers, dp

Thanks I love Diamond too, she is gorgeous-and I got her from a pet store in my mall here go figure. Anyhow, she's a sweetheart and means the world to me. I did finally get her too eat 2 fuzzie mice for me on March 31, so that's good. I take her out of her log hide a couple of times a day to check on her and to let her drink her water in her dish. Otherwise, I am afraid she won't come out on her own to get a drink. She's not moved on her own since she laid those eggs but moves fine when I pick her up and let her slither around on my arms and stuff or inside her enclosure after I put her back in for a second or two.

So I went and did the corn calc with this pairing and this is what it says I will get...ofcourse I don't know if Diamond has any hets..so I could have a suprise or two...

Diamond is currently in post lay shed mode...but hasn't moved on her since she laid her eggs 3/29/2012. So I always check on her once or twice a day and make sure she gets water drink. She is currently 574 grams and normally 750grams on her own without being gravid. She did lose some weight.
