john thomas was eagerly awake in his tank today when i walked in with the feeding tub feeding tongs and a thawed pinkie.

he looked curious with the smell of discontent walking around his nose.

he looked at me.
i looked at him.
breathing.
a connection.

i proceeded to take him out and put him in the tub. i took the thawed pinky in the tongs and he seen it. but did not want anything to do with it.

i watched him as his one eye twitched as if he wanted a battle. a battle of the pinky mouse vs him. i then poked him with the pinky a few times till he got big as if to strike. i held the pinky still and he struck it and took it away to be eaten.

yes in story mode :D

took him a few minutes but he got it down and to the back for digestion :D not a big lump but you can tell he has been fed :) and as for my first feeding attempt ever. i did alright. he is now in his tank relaxing for the next few days to digest :D

It's so amazing to watch them eat, isn't it? Majestic, I'd even go to say. Can't wait til they're on fuzzies or hoppers... some people have reported them enthusiastically constricting and rolling their frozen food until it's "dead".

haha i was hoping that would happen but it didnt he grabbed the food from me as if i was gonna take it from him lol he struck but not hard just a quick grabd then started eating :D

Congrats! Feeding time is always so intriguing!! And fun too, especially with my Blizzard who gets too excited and loves to strike at his prey. I've been tagged by him at least twice... he needs to work on his aim a little. :]

Congrats L0ck Off, and he I have an approx 2 yr old who I fed last night(16th) that lunged, struck and coiled with such vigor that she had 3/4 of her body hanging in a coil outside of her feeding box and I had to put her back in to finish the job!!

With her I use tongs because the first time I fed her she almost took my finger off, so to speak. She really has a great personality.

thanks :D im glad the feeding worked out the way i hoped :) cant wait for next weeks feeding :) btw my name is Jason

Hi Jason nice to meet you and to be able to call you by name, mine is Tisha. Glad your little one is doing well and that the first feed went well for you both!
