ok so i'm sure alot of people know about snakebytestv, a popular youtube channel for a place called bhb reptiles. well anyway these guys preformed an experiment where they took 4 groups of 5 corn snakes each and fed each group differently.
if you would like to bypass the rest of my post and just look for yourself here the links for the start and finish of the experiment.

finish: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyXZN25XOZo
all of the snakes started at about 14g or 15g. the first group followed the munson plan, the second group followed the munson plan and they added a vitamin powder to the prey item, the third group was fed smaller meals more often, and the last group was fed about 20% more food than the munson plan suggests.
now jump ahead 6 months. first group was basically a control group so it grew normally, the second group, with the vitamins, grew about 10%-15% more than the control proving that vitamins do help if you want to invest in them, the third group, the group that was fed smaller meals more often, grew but not as much as the experimenter would have liked, and the fourth group obviously grew a whole bunch more than than any of the groups but the specific amount of growth wasn't really told.
now let me say the maker of the videos claims that none of the feeding methods is unhealthy for the snake however some people will say that powerfeeding, the fourth group, is slightly unhealthy for your snake.
At the end of the day, the decision of how to feed your snake is your own but I figured this would offer some knowledge to anyone who is unsure of how they should be feeding their snake.
