Dimpled Eggs

I need to get pictures, but got a small clutch this year (8) after pairing my Bubble gum female to my Blizzard male (before his abscess problems). Smallest clutch thus far. Question is: Some of the white dry-looking eggs are heavily dimpled. Is this a bad thing? Or a sign of infertility? They were laid last night. It's not a HUGE deal if I lose this clutch as I'm spending a lot of mney on my male at the vet, but if there's a chance I have a couple fertiles in there that could bring me some little ones I'd like to know. :D

Just means they're a bit too dry - nothing to do with infertility. Get the humidity up in the egg container you're using to incubate. Some pretty collapsed-looking ones can recover in the right conditions. You do need to walk the tightrope of not getting them TOO wet.

Damp(not wet) paper towel over the eggs can help to along with what Bitsy said.

How far along are they? Sometimes the dimple right before hatching(like you mentioned pics help).

They were laid 2 nights ago. I think only 3 of the 8 are even fertile. But like I said this hasn't been her best clutch. :/ Her best was last year with 12 eggs, 8 of which hatching.

Okay then yes raise that humidity up and cross your fingers, hopefully they will hatch and you'll have healthy babies in 60 days or so.....Best of luck
