Do corns go to vets?

The only reason you'd have to take them to the vet is if you encounter a serious health issue, and you would have to make sure to find a vet that specializes in reptiles- which is very difficult to do. At least where I live.

No problem :) Most vets specialize in small mammals (ie dogs, cats) and they don't really know what to do with exotics, as it is not something that veterinary schools regularly teach.

You will probably have to call around. Most vets that list Small and Exotic animals, will usually treat reptiles. But it is fairly rare to find a reptile specific oriented vet. Luckily, snakes are fairly hardy and don't usually require a vet. Might be good to research the vets in your area before you have an issue though.

You can take them to the vet like a cat or dog for a well check but they don't normally go to the same vet.

No not really different degrees as much as different specialties. They can choose to take more classes that are more focused on what they want to specialize in.

If you ever find you need a vet, the best thing to do is try getting a recommendation from another reptile owner. Some vets can *say* that they treat reptiles, when they don't necessarily know anything about them.

I've fallen for that one before. Drove 30 miles to an "experienced reptile vet" with a female they swore blind wasn't gravid. The next day she started laying a clutch of 25 eggs.
