I have a newer Mexican Black Snake who I had posted about a few weeks back, his hemipenes was exposed and I wanted to find out about it. It is better now, back in although the cloaca is slightly open when I pick him up (I don't know if it is open all the time or just when I pick him up, he is a hider).

However, when I do pick him up he pees on me! It doesn't have any smell, I just feel the drops on my hands and arms and see it on my shirt.

He is my first snake other than a corn, so I didn't know if this was normal or not. He is so sweet otherwise, and things could be worse, I could have gotten a monkey that slings feces at me. I see the blessings in small (and funny) thoughts.
