Does anyone here have a tegu? i have some questions to ask......i got a tegu from the pres of my club, and its in pretty bad shape, ill post some pictures up later.

I don't personally have any right now but I've worked with them and/or been involved with them in years past.

While I don't claim to be an expert or affluent in them, I 'might' be able to answer some of your questions.

We used to keep and breed a few red tegus, but it has been quite a while since we had them. We used to keep them outdoors in Florida - the perfect way to keep them, IMHO!

I don't know if I can help, but can try - what do you need to know?

<----- JEALOUS!!!

<------- LIKEWISE!!! Two years ago at the Tinley Park expo, I had a juvie Red Tegu perched on my shoulder. It was instant love, I tell ya. (Well, at least for me.)

If I decide to expand my herp collection outside of beardies and corns, Red Tegus are IT, no doubt.

regards,
jazz

There's a site called Varnyard herps and the owner, Bobby Hill, specialises in Tegus. They have a forum over there, or you could go to Fauna and get hold of him there, his user name is Varnyard.
