Does she ever get cold?

Ok I have to rock hides in the tank one next to the heat and one away from the heat whenever I check on her she is always underneath the rock hide away from the heat so I was wondering what the temp over there was so I put another thermometer over there and it was around 70 in the day and go down to 65 at night is that normal for her to be hanging out over there all of the time? or will she just go to where ever she feels comfortable?

The same thing happens with my snake and I worried at first to, but don't worry your snake knows when it feels to cold or to hot and will move accordingly, just today I fed Maize and when I went looking for her in her regular hide (the cold side) she wasn't there..I started to worry she had gotten out, when I lifted the warm side hide, there she was. That was the first time I really actually ever saw her over there..but that does tell me she does go there when she feels cold..so don't worry your snake is fine, ya just got one that likes to keep cool :grin01: (had to get a little word humor there)

!!

I agree that it isn't a problem as long as temperatures are also closely monitered on the warm side (which it sounds liek your doing). Before i bought a thermostat my snake was rarely on the warm side (i was thinking maybe it was too hot and uncomfortable so was avoided)after the thermostat was installed though, it uses both sides of the tank, and i can always watch him thermoregulate post-meal.
