my snake double clutched on me and i didn't know she even had any eggs in her. there was only 7 and they looked a bit sunken in . i don't know when she laid them possibly within the last 2 days i went ahead and put them in the incubator what are the chances of them hatching ? she laid 20 eggs which every single one hatched and are healthy this is her first yr. thanks gail

Eggs are pretty tough at this stage. In my opinion, the odds that yours will rehydrate and hatch perfectly is 95% or higher. A number of people have posted on the web forums that they have seen eggs dehydrate to 50% of original volume and still hatch fine. I have seen it, too. Hope this helps.

Was the female reintroduced to the male after her 1st clutch? If not, they may or may not be all fertile. My snakes 2nd clutch of 16 was laid without her being reintroduced to the male. Only 1 egg is left and due to hatch in about 2 weeks. It looks good, but the others were either slugs or went bad at around 2-3 weeks.

Always try to rehydrate eggs and see if they hatch. If they are fertile, they can take a little drying out and still be OK. Good Luck.
