Dwarf Boa?

lyndy299

Do what with the who now?
I've always loved everything about boa. I think the common's are absolutely beautiful and considered one for a while but I don't think it would be right for me to get such a large species. Recently I've been looking into getting a dwarf species to scratch my itch (for the time being). I've been looking at John Berry Reptiles because I know they have boa available in the UK.

I have a few questions I thought I'd post anyway...so calling all keepers.

1. Is there any species anyone would recommend?
2. What are the husbandry requirements...I've been doing searches but possibly I'm being too specific. Are they kept in much the same temps etc as any other boa or does it change from species to species?
3. Any UK breeders who can ship to Scotland that anyone would like to put forward?

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure Elle will see this, but in case she doesn't...PM Tula Montage.

She's in Glasgow and is a locality dwarf boa nut and a very knowledgeable member on Boa's. I'm sure she could answer all your questions and then some. :)

Thanks, I was aware of that but didn't want to single her out or anything. I'll try that if I don't get any more replies...

Great question and I want to know more too. I love the hogg island, size and color...but I hear they are not very nice. True? I want a puppydog *well as close as a snake can get anyway* not a challenge, and I don't want a chance of it getting over 10 feet either.

Hogg islands are nice dwarfs, you also have El Salvador's Costa Ricans....you can get other small boas like Rainbow boa's, sand, and many others, it depends what you want :D

Thanks very much, registered with that already but now I've got a name to seek out.lol.
