Eastern Mud Snake in my driveway...

Chris Olson

Evolved from Eukaryotes
I came home from grocery shopping this evening and found this stout little guy. Notice the toad right behind him....I think I interrupted dinner :).

Very cool Chris. I bet when you walked up, the toad was like "Thanks man, that was close. I owe ya one." ;)
Very cool snake. Great find.
Jay

I would scream like a little girl if I saw that snake on my front porch! Very cool, Chris. And you just happened to have a camera with you?

I went inside and grabbed the camera. I tried to take a pic with my phone but it didn't work out....

That is awesome, Chris! It almost looks like he's got flames on his sides, and he's trying to make it look like he's going really fast. ;) Cool stuff! Thanks for sharing. :)

hey did you catch it and keep it as a pet? you should... that would be a amazing pet to have.

If they were rodent eaters I would be tempted. I just don't want to have to catch frogs for him all of the time.....not that it would be a challenge....they're everywhere.

Chris

Sweet!

Always cool to see an elusive snake out and about. As for the toad....his day will come.

Great pic!!! If you had been a few moments late, the toad would probably be a slow traveling lump...

Thank you for sharing!
