Easy brumation

I just had a genius idea for people that insist brumation is a plus. Get a programmable wine cooler you can set most from 45-60 degrees and with that there is next to no variation of temp. I may even attempt this...some day

My wife will be so disappointed when the refrigerator sized wine cooler gets here and she finds out it's only for her wine 75% of the year. Lol. JK. That would be one really expensive brumator. (Brumator - I think I just made that word up).

Well it night of it first.... In my head:crazy02:

First for me. Never thought about using a wine chiller for a "brumator" :laugh01: except to convert one to a incubator. Always had a brumation room until this year thanks to moving. I might just try it !

I use the one that holds 144 bottles. Found on craigslist. Restaurant going out of business. It holds 68 snakes.

A wine chiller you can program the temp to be a perfect 55* if that is what you desire I belive a refrigerator is too cold

I'm certain you can adjust the temperature of most refrigerators. Even if they do not go high enough, couldn't one just get hooked up to a thermostat? I would think that would be much safer anyway than trusting the appliance on its own.

A thermostat can only regulate the temperature of an appliance within its operating temperature range. I can't imagine a fridge could get to 60F, but I may be mistaken. You would need a heavy duty thermostat to control it if it did.
