I Have heard that in some countries they actually eat snakes..i suppose i can understand as they are mostly meat..my first guess would be korea as they eat just about anything they can think of..dogs..toads..rats you name it..they eat it!

if they do eat snakes what type?
im pretty sure it's not corn...very sure :S

anyone help me out on this :S:rolleyes:

I've heard that people from foreign countries eat snakes. Specifically albinos as they are considered sacred animals. I'm not sure what types of snakes but I think they would probably eat corns to. Sad thought huh, but then again meat is meat right?

My friend, they eat snakes all over the world....even in the U.S. In India, for example, people eat snakes as a way of taking over their spirits to help them ward off diseases and such. The King Cobra is probably the most feared and revered reptile all over the world....especially India.
In the southwestern US, there are Rattlesnake roundups. These such events often offer Rattlesnake meat from vendor carts.
It's more prevailent then one might think.

my dad is ex forces in the UK and one of his roles was outdoor activities and survival.. first thing he said when he saw Kellogg was out.. not much of a meal on that...

hold it by the head and whip. kills it instantly.. cook it on a fire and eat...

meat is meat is meat... i believe that you should try new things given the chance.. snails, frogs, goat, horse, ostritch... all very good...

There's a supermarket here in Michigan that sells rattlesnake meat, as well as crocodile meat, and ostrich meat. Looks like pale chicken or pork. Never tried the stuff, and I dunno if anyone buys the stuff either. If it's rattle snake meat I'm pretty sure those rattle snake haters down by... I forget, was it Texas? that did those annual rattle snake hunt things? I'm sure they eat em. Mmmm... rattle snake burgers.

if you can get hold of ostrich then you should at least gie it ago.. it's kinda more steak like than poultry...

Rattle Snake steak... yum, yum

Rattle snake steak is commonly available
at the Old western town type steak houses they have around these here parts (Arizona).
The tourists gobble it up. Surprise, It tastes like chicken. Scampi it out with a little garlic, white pepper and a splash of white wine, its actually quite good. Most is probably sold served deep fried breaded "nugget" style with a variation of ranch style buttermilk dressing for a dip.

Cook well to kill the on-board parasite load and yum,yum ;)
White wine with Rattler, now thats good to know ;)

Ostrich is excellent. Very tasty stuff, and it doesn't taste like chicken. :D

There are actually rattle snake ranchers producing for the restaurant / resort industry.
Talk about specialty snake farming...
Rattler Rustlers don't last long at least;)
