we've had our corn "chloe" for 2.5 yrs and we joined her with a male in february this year. we woke up to 3 eggs on may 5th. we had no idea that she was pregnant. right after that she got really fat and we could feel 8 more eggs in her. Made her a lay box and she was still eating like normal. still a week after laying the first 3 she did not lay the rest of the eggs. brought her to the pet shop that we got her from and they breed regularly so the lady massaged one egg out. told us to bring her home and she should lay the rest. another week went by and nothing. brought chloe back there and the lady tried massaging another one out but it was causing chloe pain and the lady suggested surgery. brought her to the vet and after the exam and xray they stated that she looked healthy and is fine and to take her home and give her a couple more weeks. told the lady at the pet shop what the vet said and she said that we are risking infection and to consult with someone else. there is no one else around us that has any experience with reptiles so we dont know what to do and it is now almost 3 weeks after the first lay.......any input????? so WORRIED :/

You need to locate a reptile vet as soon as possible. Two of my girls were egg bound this year. One was able to pass them with only moderate vet assistance, the other required surgery. Both were found to have infections (different bacteria in each snake) and were put on antibiotic injections. The longer you wait, the more there is risk of infection.
