Help! Plz!! I just found an egg in water!!! She had a lay box, but layed 1 egg in the water.. as soon as I found it I put it in the incubator.... is it too late? I dont know exactly how long it was there, but it didnt feel too mushy and waterlogged.... I checked yesterday in the afternoon, but I didnt see anything..... it was probably layed sometime today..... What do I do??

Waterlogged

Hi there, I dont want to demoralise you but it has been my experience that
eggs which have been laid in water very seldom make it. All you can do is watch it and wait. If the egg looks obviously off, ditch it.
Have you candled the egg yet, this could give you an earlier indication of something possibly developing inside there.

thank you.
I now have ANOTHER Problem!!!!! I keep finding little black flies in the incubator!!! what do I do??

Flies

Glad to help, I am no ways near being an expert but have picked up a few things here and there. As for the flies, surf the forum, there was a thread specifically on small black flies and how to deal with them, I'll see if I can find it again.

Ciao

switch the egg box and clean it out and hope for the best. Try not using an egg box with holes.
