I KNOW I AM WORRYING

About nothing but i am looking for reasurance i bought a prob thermometer so that i can keep a good check on egg temp, the thing is i just counted the eggs (15+1 slug)the moss felt quite cold to me but the thermometer reading fluctuates between 23.6c to 29.4c are these temps ok????? please respond.

many thanks..............................STEVE

According to my converter, that puts your temps fluxuating between 74.5 F and 85 F. Those seem to be the recommended max and min temps...are they fluxuating the whole range every day? I don't know if that would be good for the eggs.

I TURNED UP THE HEAT

in my home made incubator and have the temp steady at 28.7 is this ok or should i go a touch highert????

thanks in advance..................STEVE

Steve,
A little on the cooler side is better than hot! Temps approaching 90 degrees can be dangerous. Cooler temps may cause you to have a longer wait for hatchlings, but that is safer than cooking them.
