i was in a pet store today in las vegas and the owner had put some snake eggs in a cat litter pan filled with wet vermiculite but they didn't seem to be doing very well they still looked really dehydrated i told him those eggs needed some more water or he was going to loose them. not too get off the subject but i also noticed alot of snake hatchlings that were having a hard time shedding. was not really impressed with the owner of the store since cages were also really dirty, but was wondering if there was anywhere to turn him in for animal cruelty??:(

Chances are the "proper authorities" won't do much or anything. You may try the local police and/or animal control and explain to them the circumstances. If they aren't the one's who take care of these instances they should be able to direct you in the right direction.
