Embarassing newbie question on notation...

I haven't officially gotten into the snake hobby yet (I have the equipment, just waiting on the snake). I have been doing a lot of reading on genetics and breeding and have a silly question I need answered. I see a lot of 2.3 or 1.6 next to a snake's genes on a lot of threads, what does that mean exactly?

It's a numeric reference to gender of snakes.
1.0 = 1 male
1.1 = 1 male, 1 female
1.1.2 = 1 male, 1 female, 2 unsexed
0.1 = 1 female

etc. ;)

By the way, that's not a silly question. I've seen it posted a bunch of times, and I asked the same thing when I joined.

Secondly, welcome to the forum!! :wavey:
