Is there any way to get a musky snake to stop?
There's a really sweet california king at work. He's calm, doesn't mind being handled, good eater, etc. The only problem is that EVERY time i get him out, he musks. Sometimes it's almost right away, sometimes it's after he's been out a few minutes. Once it was projectile and hit a kid standing next to the handler.
It doesn't seem to be stress-induced or in reaction to anything, he just loves to put his mark on everything. I'm not a fan, however, of eau de Lampropeltis.
Anything I can do?
