Erebus and Serviceberry from Jen Pagram

They are here! I put Erebus on hold back in July, and circumstances lead to him being delivered today, and through the whole process, Jen was awesome. She offered me a freebie female to go with him, and I of course said yes!

Erebus is anery motley het hypo, most likely stripe according to the corn snake genetics calculator. He MAY also carry tessera, and breeding will prove for sure eventually. Both produced by Jen Pagram of Ghost House Corns.

Berry is hypo het anery motley, and a very pretty little girl.

In a few years, they will be able to produce ghosts for me :) I will be on the lookout for another female to pair with Erebus to test him out for tessera, but either way, he is absolutely stunning!

Both of them are beautiful and look fantastic. She said Erebus was feisty so I was expecting him to be a snot, but the travel must have him quietted down for now as he didn't try to bite me or anything :p

Thank you a ton, Jen!

I could be wrong, but I thought the tessera gene would show up as polymorphic on both homozygous and het? Or is it only 50% visual tessera for hets?

The motley gene alters the pattern too and may be obfuscating it is the problem, otherwise yes, tessera only needs one gene to show.

Thanks for the nice thread about them! I hope he stays mellow for you, but it's probably snakey jet lag LOL

Must have been jet lag as he got me while I was doing water tonight. A teensy little drop of blood. What a snot!

Blacktip, I looked at the for sale page for him for almost a month I think before I finally messaged Jen. SO glad I did. He is just gorgeous and I can't wait to see babies from him.

What a little butthead. His father's flighty but not out for blood, his mom one of the calmest and friendliest corns I have ever owned. His siblings I kept are less evil too- I guess you got the black sheep of the bunch LOL
