Today after school, I'm on here reading and my sister comes downstairs panicking. My 4 year olf corn, Guy, excaped from his cage and was crawling around the edge of my window on the fan enjoying the sunlight. She went in my room and he shocked her. I put him back into his cage and he was a little fussy. Must have enjoyed the freedom. Maybe he needs some sunlight. I might think about putting his tank near the window. Thank god I found him! One of my hatchlings got out of her feeding container once before and that was not fun!! :D :D

Does the window get direct sunlight for long periods? I was told that you shouldn't put your tank in a window with lots of direct sunlight. Read "Tank Placement" in the Husbandary and Basic Care forum.

ya, kilojara is right, don't let that cage get direct sunlight. You might try a vita-lite if you think maybe your snake wants some rays. Indirect sun is plenty.

Thanks for the heads up, but I already knew that. Sorry if I confused you guys but I only meant for brief periods of time. I think I'm going out to buy him a better cage now. One with a lid that won't come undone.
