I was dangling a pink above Eve's head the other night, and she reared up to strike, so I let go, figuring she'd grab it as it fell. Instead, she whipped around to constrict it (I've never seen her do that before), but she just caught a leg and the tail. As the pink was a little bit wet, it slipped from her coils, popped up, and landed on her back about an inch from her head, and stuck to her. For just a second or two, it seemed like she didn't know where the mouse was. But then she moved, and the mouse fell off. She proceeded to eat quite heartily.

But it was so funny for those few seconds when the mouse was on top of her, and she was just clueless. I wish I had a picture!
