Excited Newbie to the CS Community!:)..with questions

Hello everyone!

I am the proud new owner of my very first (and certainly not last!) corn snake. I am not new to the entire reptile community, having cared for 6 different species of lizards over the years, but I am new to snakes...mainly because my new living arrangements do not include a particularly petrified parent :p

Anyhow, will be posting questions as time goes by, and I hope to eventually contribute my own "expertise" once I've gained some :)

Welcome Katrina!
I'm a relative newbie too so doubt I'll add much expertise but thought I'd say Hi! none-the-less. :)

Well thanks for the "hi", KingNoel - much appreciated! :) I'm sure u will add expertise, the most knowlegeable experts all start out as "newbies", afterall - right? Look forward to sharin!

Hello and welcome to the hobby!
Ask away! We are a bunch who love to give advice. Sometimes even when you don't ask ;)

Hello and welcome! What species of lizard did you keep?
Thank you everyone, I really feel welcomed:)

@ Tavia: I have raised golden, leopard and fat tailed geckos, anoles, iguanas and bearded dragons. And although not reptiles, I would like to add that I raised 12 Gray's tree frogs successfully from tadpole to maturity (the silly things spawn in our pool every year, so it's always a mad rush to get out all the eggs before they hatch!), and then released them...they are likely some of the current culprits spawning in our pool:p

and I should add for any that may be concerned after my last post: we NEVER shock the pool with chlorine until we have collected all the frog eggs we can find. We then transfer them to a nearby swamp. Also, most of the reptiles I have owned have been adopted from the reptile zoo that I volunteered at for a while. In Canada, it is now illegal to sell iguanas as far as I know, and for good reason - 100% of that zoo's iguanas were all rejects, many showed signs of MBD and very few were in "good shape" at all. Sad:(

It is a long way, and I can't wait to get back to Cali! And yes, feel free to send all the Superior's you want!
