Exercising gravid females?

I am new to breeding. I thought it was best to leave your gravid females alone so they felt secure and that it was better for the eggs. Now I'm hearing from reputable breeders that exercise is better to increase muscle tone and reduce any complications. This makes sense to me but does there ever come a point when handing when it becomes dangerous for the eggs/hatchlings. Also, I am under the impression that the eggs are able to rotate untill they detach from the mother and are layed. Is this true?

Lots of views but not one comment. Are people not sure or do people feel its a stupid question?

I would say the mom should be in good shape before being bred first of all, but if your only goal is to keep her muscle tone while she's gravid then as long as she has a comfortable heat gradient and room to move, maybe a branch to climb if she so chose, I'd leave her to her own devices. They aren't gravid for that long and even if she were a couch potato the whole time as long as she was strong before breeding she should be fine.
