Father and Daughter

SNOW!!!!
I don't think I've ever posted pictures of my first corn, Apollo the Okeetee (although he used to be in my avatar), and he was hanging out with me the other day...I just happened to have my camera sitting next to me and snapped a few photos. Sorry for the quality of them, he was busy burrowing in the blanket on the couch.

He's my wonderful big boy, right around 600g. Obviously he doesn't have the big black borders, he came from locality parents.

And his daughter, Spotty. She's an 08 rootbeer. She is so much like her daddy...same 'personality' (very curious, loves people) and same beefy build. I'll post these in her progression thread as well, but I thought seeing daddy and daughter together was sorta neat. :)

This is her ATB impression:

Enjoy!! :D

Ah, cuteness! My eyes!

Love your big boy, and whoa, I mean biiiiiig. I look at my under-20-gramlings and cannot even fathom them ever getting to 400g, let alone 600g! Very awesome! May I ask how old he is?

And love his little baby, too! Her colors are beautiful!

Apollo is such a handsome boy!! I love the okeetees. Did he come from SMR by chance? I ask because I have an okeetee female (2005) that came from Don and she looks amazingly like Apollo. She even has a similar head pattern. She also has the little black borders.

Spotty is sooo cute! I just love her face :)

 Thanks. It is hard to believe that the wee worms turn into such wonderfully big adults. He is, if I recall, a 2004 baby.

And thank you again. She was the only one in the clutch to look 'different', so she stayed with me. Apollo is a very proud papa. :)

Thank you Angela. I actually got him from my local pet store, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's where they got him from. I could probably find out, but the owner and I aren't really getting along anymore, so I don't spend much time there these days.

Isn't her face just precious? She's so expressive!

Both Apollo & Spotty are lovely. I like the robust build, I like the vivid colors. I even like the ATB impression! So pretty. Are you still breeding Apollo?

Cute pictures, Hallie! He sure is a handsome fellow, and his daughter is rather lovely. :)

Thanks!!

Very nice...

Thank you!

Thanks a bunch. Spotty is so quirky and does the cutest things. I didn't breed him this past year, and I haven't decided whether or not he'll be bred again. I really like the babies he gave me, all were good feeders and had good attitudes, but I really don't have a female for him. I'm done with the hybrids (rootbeer/creamsicle) for awhile, so his former mate (a creamsicle, and the mother of Spotty) is no longer available to him. I suppose if I found him the perfect lady, I'd breed him again.

Well, maybe I'll ask you for a breeding loan in a few years then! That would give the lovely Apollo something to look forward to. :)

He looked excited when I told him. ;)

Lava, my okeetee, needs a stud ;)

I think we'll need to work something out Angela... :D

Thank you!!!!

I'd say Apollo & Lava would make some very nice pippies! <hint hint>

I completely agree!
