Fed Ex Approval Question

Hi all,
I am sending out my box for approval today. I am very nervous and I have a heat pack question. How do I know what size heat packs or how many hour heat packs do I put in the box? Do they check to see the temperature inside the box? I live in NY and it is supposed to be 16 Degrees here tonight and get warmer through the week. Does anyone know how much time it takes before they open the box for approval? I have an 8 hour, 12 hour, and 48 hour heat packs. Which one and how many should I use? Thank you very much in advance for your time.

I always use a 40 hr heat pack just in case the box gets delayed some where. Honestly though, FedEx isn't worried about how hot or cold the inside of the box is. They could care less if what you pack lives or dies because they aren't responsible if it does. What they are really looking for is if it's secure enough for the animal not to escape. I'd just pack it nice and secure and with insulation and don't worry about putting in a heat or cold pack. But that's just me. :)
