Feeding a snake more than normal

Has anyone done it? The pet store said my snake would go bigger quicker which is what i want but is it bad for the snake in anyway?

from what I have heard and read:

1) might cause pinhead (where the head stays tiny but the rest grows really fast)
2) can cause obesity which is REALLY bad in snakes
3) You would never be able to hold your snake due to digestion!

I think reason number 3 is more than enough for me!

As what I've heard too.
My snake only eats once a week, but does eat good when Friday comes around.
