feeding corns other then mice

While it can be done (feeding chicks and/or eggs), there are a couple of things you might want to consider before you try it:

1) Different food items affect the digestive abilities of individuals differently. I can't recall who it was, but someone on here once said that he/she had fed chicks to his/her big corn, and though there was no discernable effect in a significant way, the SMELL of the feces was atrocious!

2) More importantly, whenever you introduce a new food item to your corns, you run the risk that they will like that item SO much that they refuse other options, even those to which they had once been agreeable. Chicks get awfully expensive, if your snake were to determine that it wanted nothing else to eat! And, before anyone asks, yes, some snakes will starve themselves to death rather than eat what they find unappealing!

It's not a bad thing to do . . . wild corns have a wide variety in their diets, I suppose. Just have your eyes fully open on this before you try anything at all.

Thanks I never thought of it in that way. Something to consider I just thought that a varied diet would be better for the snake.
