Feeding habbit Q's

Hey been a while since i've been on and server looks great Ritch. Hi everbody.

Now my queastion is why would my cornsnake start striking and acting really hostile during feeding. She is a year old, 2 feet long and very mild... well besides today. When I was feeding her she paid absolute attention to the mouse but just watched it twitch.(I live feed so you know.) Finnaly the mouse stopped twitching I gueass it was dead, but she still just flicked her tounge in and out watching. I didn't get it. She hadn't eaten for a week. So I reached down in there with a clean wooden b-b-q stick(to poke the mouse) and she just went crazy I mean she struck at it 2 or 3 times. Then right after that she started to gobbled down the mouse.
Well the only thing I can see is the temp got too low and she decided too brumate. (don't think this is very likely, but what do i know its my first corn.) It might have been I introduced a foreign object into her feeding box.
But anything at all would be a help.

When was the last time your snake shed?

On ocassion I noticed some individuals in my collection exhibiting these behaviors while in the shedding process. Even if the eyes aren't noticeably "blue", they may have already gone through that and they have cleared already. Meaning you'll see a freshly shed skin in a day or two.
