hopefully I got his Q in the righ catagory this time lol.

How soon do you all offer your hatchlings their first meal?

Feed the kids

You can offer them food any time you like, but generally, they won't eat for a week or so.
Some people say to offer them a pinky right out of the egg, and this is the best time for an initial feed, but my opinion is that with a lot of retained yolk in them, they just won't eat until they are ready.
Usually, the babies shed about 7 days after harching, so the "word of wisdom" is to wait until they shed.
I have had them eat from 3 days after birth onward, though I've not tried offering them food right from the egg yet.
