Feeding pinks to lots of hatchlings

Sorry if this is in wrong section. I just wanted to get info from breeders of several hatchlings.
I currently have21 hatchlings. 4 have eaten and she'd so far and In a week there will be 17 more. Last year lots of pinks went to waste so this year I was thinking of rotating pinks with non feeders. Ex leaving pink for a couple hours then if snake doesn't eat moving pink into next bin. Do any of you do that? How do you go about feeding lots of hatchlings? Any tips?

Hey, thats what I did last year with the 16 babies I had. It was a bit time consuming. I thawed few pinkies an put them in with few babies. Some ate some didn't. The ones that didn't I moved the pinky to another baby. Worked for me an saved some money on buying pinkies all the time.

Before they're good eaters I usually do like half the pinkies I could need and rotate 'em around as needed and usually don't have too much waste. Then if it went well I'll do more.

You could do that, but what about the hatchlings that don't eat in a couple of hours but would have if given more time, even as long as over-night? I know it's a waste, but compare that to the number of "non-feeders" that are actually feeders? I usually get a good percentage of hatchlings that need the extra time to eat their first several meals before they figure out that eating right away is the way to go.

Once you have a few confirmed feeders, start a rota system incorporating this. I tend to get out the pinks in the evening when I get back from work, then feed the poor feeders before I go to bed. Leave in overnight, then check in the morning and put the uneaten ones in with the good feeders who will eat straight away. Less waste, plenty of time for babies to eat and still not have manky stinky pinkies.

I give all my "waist" pinkies to my monitor. He can eat things that have been dead for weeks in the wild. A few overnight pinkies are a treat to him lol. The king snake also never says no to a few appetizers. lol

so far I have 16 that ate and 5 to go!!!! yes that's excitement lol. It was not that easy last year, although there are 2 more clutches to go. Are you saying the pinks are ok by the next day, opse Ive thrown lots out the past couple years including this morning? How many hours with ft till no good? I have a few snakes eating fuzzies and hoppers I suppose I could feed them.
thanks for the suggestions

How long are you leaving them after their first shed before offering them feed? I wait a week after the last one in the clutch has it's first shed to offer the whole clutch their first meal, feed f/t in the late evening, leave them overnight and usually the only ones that don't eat are the ones that end up being long term problem feeders. If you are feeding them immediately after or before their first shed they are likely still "feeding" from their yolk sac and simply aren't hungry yet.

I was feeding right after 1st shed. All but 2 have eating several times. We're going on 3 weeks and the one that hasnt eaten, I finally decided to try live pinky. First I left in small delicup over night. A few days later tried in normal tub that he is housed in Prior to this I tried ft rubbed in mouse cage, brained pink ft and basically every few days I'm trying whatever I can think of. The other stubborn feeder finally ate a few days ago.
